There's a chance Bill Belichick and the Patriots could be stealing one of Tom Brady's weapons down in Tampa.

Per ESPN's Field Yates, "The Patriots are hosting free agent RB Leonard Fournette on a visit today, per source." Noting, "The 27-year old is coming off of the best all around season of his career with 812 rushing yards, 8 rushing TD and 69 catches for 454 yards in 2021."

The NFL world reacted to the Pats' news. "Wrote last month about how the Patriots have an interesting, and difficult, decision to make about Damien Harris," replied NESN's Dakota Randall.

"The Patriots already have like 7 running backs…??" asked one user.

"Pats really have no plans on throwing the ball this year," laughed a Bills fan.

"Well well well…here comes the Patriots free agent push," tweeted ABC 6 sports director Nick Coit.

"This makes no sense whatsoever. Are they going to be running the Wing T?" asked another fan.

"Belichick truly is haunted by the playoff game he had to roll out Steven Jackson," added another Patriots fan. "He knows he would have won if the team hadn't been decimated by injuries."

"Imagine already being frustrated about Damien Harris and Rhamondre Stevenson co-existing and then BOOM... Here is Fournette," commented another user.

"Fantasy football nightmare potential," replied JJ Zachariason.

"Tired: The Patriots need a No. 1 receiver," tweeted WEEI's Scott McLaughlin. "Wired: The Patriots need three No. 1 backs."

If the Pats were to bring in Fournette, he'd join a pretty crowded RB room.
