The Anthony Davis sweepstakes re-opened after the six-time All-Star affirmed his desire to be traded by the New Orleans Pelicans.

After demanding a trade during the 2018-19 regular season, Davis remained with the team after the Pelicans' brass refused to trade him. Davis painted a clearer picture for New Orleans during the offseason and the team began listening to trade offers once again.

But which teams are in the running?

So far, every report linked the Los Angeles Lakers and New York Knicks as the favorites.

Until now, that is.

According to New Orleans insider Fletcher Mackel, three other teams are the favorites to land Davis in a trade.

Mackel suggests the Boston Celtics, Brooklyn Nets and Los Angeles Clippers are the teams most likely to pull off a trade.

The Lakers and Knicks are on the bottom of Mackel's list, which runs counter to everything that has been reported as to the teams interested in making a play for Davis.

New Orleans reportedly prefers to trade Davis before the NBA draft on June 20. That leaves just eight days for the Pelicans to ship Davis away from the organization.

With the No. 1 pick in hand and an Anthony Davis trade in the works, the Pelicans will look quite different in 2019-20.
