Ray Lewis was a menace facing Peyton Manning throughout his legendary National Football League career.

On Saturday, Manning made is clear that he hated facing Lewis and was extremely pleased when the legendary linebacker finally retired.

Manning, one of the greatest quarterbacks of all-time, joked that the day Lewis retired was the greatest day of his life.

“When Ray Lewis retired it was the best day of my life," Manning said on Saturday.

That might be a stretch, but Lewis was as tough as they come at the linebacker position. He gave quarterbacks like Manning, Tom Brady and others fits throughout his career with the Baltimore Ravens.

It's not surprising to hear that Manning was more than pleased when he finally retired.
