New York Yankees relief pitcher Aroldis Chapman appears to have put on some weight this offseason - in a good way.
Chapman, a Cuba native, is entering his age 32 season in New York. The longtime MLB closer looks better than ever, though.
The stud closer appears to have bulked up quite a bit over the extended offseason. A photo of the jacked-up Chapman has gone viral on social media.
Chapman showed off his sleeveless physique on Instagram on Sunday.
Chapman, one of the best closers in the MLB over the last decade, is coming off a strong 2019 season. He pitched 57 innings with a 2.21 ERA, 1.11 WHIP and 85 strikeouts.
The longtime MLB reliever is best known for his fireball fastball. Chapman has been clocked at 105.1 MPH, the fastest in league history.
The Yankees star has been hitting the weights hard all offseason.
It remains to be seen when - or if - the 2020 MLB season will happen, but Chapman is clearly doing everything he can to stay ready.
