Auburn quarterback Bo Nix is 2-0 to start his third season as the Tigers’ starting quarterback — meaning he’s 2-0 since he got engaged to his soon-to-be wife in early August.
Last month, Nix and his fiance, Auburn cheerleader Izzy Smoke, celebrated their engagement at Jordan-Hare Stadium.
Smoke posted photos of the moment along with a heartfelt caption.
“Bo Chapman Nix, it is my greatest honor and joy that you have chosen me to be your WIFE. I cannot wait to run the rest of my race with Christ before me and you beside me. HERE’S TO LOVING YOU FOREVER!!!!!!!” she wrote on her Instagram page.
“I’d choose you any day to be my wife. Can’t wait for forever w you girl! Love you,” Nix responded in the comments.
Through the Tigers’ first two games of the season, Nix has led the Auburn offense to two straight 60+ point outings. In the team’s season-opener against Akron, the 21-year-old QB threw an efficient 20/22 for 275 yards and three touchdowns. He followed that performance up with another impressive outing, throwing 9/17 for 108 yards and two touchdowns as his team employed a rush-heavy attack in the blowout win.
Tonight, Nix and the No. 22 ranked Tigers will travel into a hostile environment at Beaver Stadium for No. 10 Penn State’s annual “White Out” game.
