R.J. Barrett Says He’s Only Working Out For 1 Team Before NBA Draft

Former Duke Blue Devils star R.J. Barrett appears to be locked in on his preferred landing spot in the 2019 NBA Draft.

Barrett, a projected top-five pick, will only be meeting with and working out for one NBA franchise ahead of the NBA Draft.

That franchise: the New York Knicks.

Barrett, who starred alongside Zion Williamson at Duke in 2018-19, worked out for the Knicks today.

He has no plans to work out for another team.

Barrett has made it clear he wants the Knicks to draft him. “This is the place I want to be,” he said.

Barrett is widely projected to go No. 3 overall, with Williamson going No. 1 to New Orleans and Ja Morant going No. 2 to Memphis.

It’s possible Barrett will end up elsewhere, especially if New York can trade the pick in exchange for Anthony Davis, though the odds suggest he’ll be a Knick.
