The Anthony Davis sweepstakes is wide open.

After the six-time All-Star demanded a trade during the 2018-19 season, several suitors came forward with strong offers.

However, the New Orleans Pelicans rebuffed all offers in the hopes of convincing Davis to stay with the team. The former Kentucky star solidified his stance earlier this offseason: he wants to be traded.

After his latest announcement, the Pelicans finally started listening to trade offers for their star.

So, who is in the mix? The Los Angeles Lakers and New York Knicks have been the most vocal in their pursuit of Davis.

The latest report from NBA insider Ian Begley suggests the Lakers have the best chance to land Davis. According to a recent report, Begley said the Lakers have "made progress" towards a deal.

ESPN reported on Tuesday that the Lakers are the "leader in the clubhouse" for a potential Davis trade. One league source said Tuesday that Los Angeles had made progress towards completing a multi-team deal.

The Lakers have been the leader for Anthony Davis dating back to last season. However, the Pelicans reportedly prefer to trade Davis to a different organization.

We'll have to wait and see if the Lakers' offer is enough to pry Davis from the Pelicans.

Stay tuned.
