NFL teams know who they will face during the 2022 season, but they don't know when. That should change soon.

According to Pro Football Talk's Mike Florio, the NFL is expected to release the full schedule sometime from May 10 to 12. The source told Florio it should arrive during the second week of May.

There are many standout dates fans will eagerly anticipate. The Los Angeles Rams will commence the season on Amazon's Thursday Night Football, but who will the defending Super Bowl champions host? Among the many marquee options are the San Francisco 49ers, Dallas Cowboys, Buffalo Bills, and Denver Broncos.

The Rams also have a handful of potential primetime road games against the Kansas City Chiefs, Buffalo Bills, and an NFC Championship Game rematch against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Regardless of when they play, a rematch of last year's epic encounter between the Bills and Kansas City Chiefs is sure to garner a national spotlight. The same goes for when Patrick Mahomes faces off against Tom Brady and new AFC West rival Russell Wilson.

What teams will welcome Joe Buck and Troy Aikman into the Monday Night Football booth? There will also be one Monday where ESPN and ABC will both televise a game.

The first Sunday Night Football draw is also a prestigious honor, as are the three annual Thanksgiving games. And as Florio pointed out, Christmas Day falls on a Sunday this year.

Fans will have to remain patient, as the schedule is poised to arrive after the NFL Draft in May. That still leaves everyone the entire summer to plan their calendars for the upcoming season.
