It turns out the New York Giants aren't the only dysfunctional franchise in the NFC East. Although the Washington Redskins aren't grabbing all the headlines in the NFL, a concerning rumor is circulating about their front office.

The lack of communication within the Redskins is stepping up to the forefront today, as apparently management isn't informing Jay Gruden of its acquisitions. Clearly the tension between the two sides is reaching to point of no return.

Washington had one of the biggest signings of free agency, landing Landon Collins on a massive six-year contract. Somehow, Gruden didn't hear about the move until someone from the media allegedly sent him a text message.

"They're not consulting Jay at all. He's not being consulted, they have a ton of needs, and it's just Bruce out there doing whatever he wants," Eric Bickel of 106.7 The Fan's Sports Junkies said on Monday.

If this is true about the Redskins leaving Gruden in the dark, then it might be fair to wonder when he'll be on his way out. Hopefully, Washington asks him for his input leading up to the NFL Draft.

In the event that this alarming trend continues, Gruden will have to prepare for an inevitable exit. Maybe once he is out of town he'll acknowledge whether this report about the front office is actually true.

Until then, the Redskins will be the subject of criticism for allegedly ignoring the needs of their coaching staff.
