Russell Wilson posted a message for the Seattle Seahawks on Wednesday evening. He likely has the support of the entire fan base behind him.
The Seahawks’ star quarterback wants to see some new throwback uniforms. He has a specific set in mind, too.
Wilson shared a photoshopped image of himself sporting the classic Seahawks throwback. It’s an awesome look.
“This is a MUST,” he wrote. “Seahawks fans around the world would love! #JustDoIt #Throwbacks.”

Seahawks fans certainly seem to be on board with the idea.
“PLEEEEEEAAASSSEE let this happen!!” one fan wrote.
“Been trying for YEARS Russ!” another added.
“Growing up, those were the jerseys that I loved. To see you in one of those, would be absolutely awesome! I would be the first in line to buy one!” one added.
So, there you go, Seahawks. Fans want to see Russell Wilson and the rest of the team rocking these as soon as possible.
It probably can’t happen until 2021 at the earliest, though. The NFL’s one-helmet rule would prevent the Seahawks from wearing that throwback helmet. The rule could change after the 2020 season, as brought up by Bruce Arians today.
That needs to happen.
