Footage Of A Russian 'Face-Slapping' Contest Is Going Viral

Russian slap each other in a contest.

Getting slapped in the face isn't a ton of fun - most of us can agree on that. Somehow, that didn't stop a number of men in Russia from entering a competition involving the act this past weekend.

The event, dubbed the 'Male Slapping Championships' took place in the Siberian city of Krasnoyarsk. The rules? You slap, you get slapped, and whoever doesn't want to continue first loses.

Footage of the championship round is going viral. The man on the left, Vasily Kamotsky, delivers two absolutely devastating blows to his opponent to take the crown.

With the victory, Kamotsky took home 30,000 rubles, which is equivalent to somewhere between $450 and $475. It's not the biggest prize in the world to essentially get punched in the face repeatedly.

My only question - is having a beard an advantage? Should that be banned? It seems like any kind of buffer would help in taking the blows.

It's clear from the video that Kamotsky's opponent is concussed after the second hit. He's having trouble even walking straight.

Would you ever sign up for something like this?
