Mychal Kendricks was recently cut by the Cleveland Browns after being charged with insider training. He wasn't out of work long.
Kendricks is signing with the Seattle Seahawks, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter. It is reportedly a one-year deal.
Not only is Seattle signing Kendricks, he is expected to play for the team on Monday night against the Chicago Bears, per Schefter.
Kendricks was indicted on charges of insider trading back on August 29. He is alleged to have provided game tickets and cash in exchange for tips.
Kendricks was indicted along with ‘Black-ish’ TV writer Damilare Sonoiki, a Harvard educated former investment banker.
“Four years ago, I participated in insider trading, and I deeply regret it,” Kendricks said via statement. “I invested money with a former friend of mine who I thought I could trust and who I greatly admired. His background as a Harvard graduate and an employee of Goldman Sachs gave me a false sense of confidence.”
We'll see as this all unfolds what type of punishment Kendricks will face for his actions. In the meantime, he will be able to suit up and play in the NFL.
