Tiger Woods put together an incredible second round at The Masters on Friday, shooting a 68 to leave himself just one shot behind the leaders heading into the weekend. He also almost got injured in the process.

Following a rain delay midway through Woods' round, conditions were a bit slick on the course. On the 14th hole, following a shot, a security guard for the course accidentally slipped and slid into Woods' ankle.

Woods hopped around for a bit, but it doesn't appear he wound up with an injury. The irony, of course, is that the security guard was trying to protect Woods.

Video of the incident is going viral. Woods might have been lucky to escape without an ankle injury.

Woods had chances on both No. 17 and No. 18 to make birdie, but narrowly missed putts on each. Still, he appears to be very much in the hunt as we turn to the weekend.

As for the security guard, we're sure he's mortified. But it could have been worse.

The third round will start Saturday morning.
