The Bryce Harper saga is ongoing. The 26-year-old free agent is still on the market, and everyone is trying to uncover the latest tidbit about his impending decision.

Everyone, including the rock band Smash Mouth. The San Jose-based band, which had its biggest hits in the 1990s, are extremely online these days, and are huge baseball fans.

A couple of years ago, we saw Smash Mouth get into a Twitter feud with the Oakland A's. Now, they are claiming to have some some news regarding Harper.

Apparently, Smash Mouth are San Francisco Giants supporters, and they are not happy that team president Farhan Zaidi might not want to sign Harper long-term.

"We are hearing Giants ownership/upper mgmt might not be on the same page as Zaidi regarding Harper. They want to offer a long term contract like they did with Bonds and Zaidi does NOT want to. Sabean/Baer step the F up, this is your team, not some slappy's from the Dodgers!" the tweet reads.

The Giants are one of several teams reported to still be in the mix for Harper. Also involved are the Philadelphia Phillies, San Diego Padres and the Los Angeles Dodgers.

We'll see if Smash Mouth had the scoop here.
