Former Ohio State quarterback Terrelle Pryor underwent emergency surgery after he was reportedly stabbed in the chest and shoulder early Saturday morning. Police have now released the name of the woman allegedly involved in the altercation.

Pittsburgh police are charging Shalaya Briston with attempted criminal homicide and aggravated assault. They're also charging Pryor with simple assault. According to Amy Hudak of WPXI, police said the two were "mutual combatants."

Pryor was reportedly in critical condition early this morning, but a recent report suggests he's now in stable condition. It's unclear whether he's still in the hospital.

Pryor quarterbacked Ohio State before being taken by the Oakland Raiders in the 2011 NFL Supplemental Draft.

Briston is 24 years old and she's a resident of Pennsylvania. It's unclear how the two know each other.

Pryor signed with the Jacksonville Jaguars earlier this year but was released in August after being placed on the IR.

Hopefully, Pryor makes a full recovery and police get to the bottom of what happened here. We'll keep you updated.
