In addition to placing defensive lineman Jack Crawford on the injured reserve list for an unknown injury, the Cardinals cut offensive lineman Branden Bowen and defensive lineman David Parry. The team also waived injured linebacker Jamell Garcia-Williams — bringing their current roster makeup to 79 players.

The Cardinals signed Crawford as a veteran DE option earlier this month. Through nine seasons in the NFL, the former fifth-round draft pick has logged 165 tackles and 18 sacks in 35 starts. This past season in 2020, he notched 28 tackles and 2.0 sacks through 16 games and nine starts with the Tennessee Titans.
The other veteran player to get the boot was Parry, who signed with the team back in January. After he was selected with a fifth-round pick back in 2016, the defensive tackle started two full seasons for the Indianapolis Colts. Dealing with legal troubles and injuries since then, Parry has played in just four NFL contests dating back to 2017.
Bowen (undrafted second-year) and Garcia-Williams (undrafted rookie) will both have to look elsewhere to land on an NFL roster.
The Cardinals will finish out their preseason schedule with a matchup against the New Orleans Saints on Saturday night.
