The second round of The Masters has featured some great performances thus far, which includes a huge run by Francesco Molinari. Although there are still a handful of holes left to be played this afternoon, all action must stop due to a weather delay.

Any play at the Masters is paused right now because of lightening in the area. The players will be waiting until they are notified to return to the course.

Coming into today the threat of rain was pretty high in Augusta, Georgia. While the delay isn't a surprise to those at The Masters, the timing of it is pretty unfortunate.

Before the alarm went off to indicate a delay, Tiger Woods had back-to-back impressive shots. His recent surge has him tied for 10th place.

We currently have a three-way share of the lead (-7) among Molinari, Brooks Koepka and Jason Day.

The expectation is that it'll be a brief delay in Augusta.

Hopefully any threat of a thunderstorm passes quickly, as the forecast appears to be promising for the rest of today.

Earlier this week, the course had experienced trouble with inclement weather. Unfortunately, the expectation is that rain will play a factor this weekend.

We'll keep you updated throughout the Masters.
