Tiger Woods recorded a positive round at the BMW Championship on Saturday, shooting a -5 in Round 3 to move to -7 for the tournament, but the 15-time major champion still has a long way to go in order to advance.

Woods, 43, is in need of a similar - if not better - performance on Sunday in order to qualify for the next round of the FedEx Cup.

The 2019 Masters champion came into the week thinking he probably needed a top 10 finish in order to advance.

Now, the projections show Woods needing to finish at T-6th.

Woods, who is currently tied for 31st, will likely need another -5 round or better in order to get up to that ranking. There are three players currently tied for sixth place at -12.

The 15-time major champion isn't giving up hope, though.

“At least I’ve got a shot at it,” he said.

Woods is set to tee off at 11:30 a.m. E.T. and he'll be playing with Webb Simpson and Abraham Ancer.

The final round will be televised on Golf Channel and NBC.
