Tiger Woods’ magic at Augusta has not carried over to the PGA Championship so far. Through one round-plus at Bethpage Black, Woods is struggling.
After shooting +2 yesterday, Woods is +1 through three holes this afternoon. If he keeps that up, he’ll be right at the projected cut line.
Right now, the projected cut is +3. That’s precisely what Woods is shooting right now for the tournament, leaving him with little margin for error.
Brooks Koepka, the reigning PGA Championship winner, is the leader right now at -9. He’s looking for his fourth major title.
One of Tiger’s major issues thus far has been his inability to hit the fairway. He’s 0-for-3 so far today.
We’re on the par-5 fourth hole and guess what? He didn’t hit the fairway. Again. It was a decent drive but it’s left and you just cannot miss the fairways here. SMH.

We’ll see how Woods responds and closes out today. He’s certainly put himself in some danger.
