Tiger Woods was back on the course at Torrey Pines for the Farmers Insurance Open, which pits the best golfers in the world against each other. Woods, Jordan Spieth, Justin Rose and more took to the course in California for the third round on Saturday afternoon.
The former World No. 1 got back to his winning ways in 2018 when he took home the Tour Championship trophy with a two-shot victory over Billy Horschel. With a successful 2018 behind him, Woods got off to a solid start to the 2019 campaign with a two-under, 70 at Torrey Pines on Thursday afternoon in his first round.
After making the cut to play the weekend, Woods got off to a rough start in his third round and it looked like his tournament was about to spiral out of control. Then he locked in over the final six holes to get his round back to one-under par and finish the day at five-under.
While he finished the day at one-under, he gave up considerable ground to the leaders who all went low on the day.
After wrapping up his third round in the mid-afternoon, Woods sits 14 shots back of leader Justin Rose who continues his assault on Torrey Pines.
Woods will be back on the course Sunday morning for his final round of the tournament.
