Tiger Woods and Phil Mickelson didn't play their best golf early on Friday, but they're starting to find their rhythm here late.

After nine holes, Mickelson held a one-hole advantage. Since then, the two players have traded holes several times and were tied as they reached the green on No. 15.

That's when Phil used a master class in chipping to take a one-shot lead thanks to a rough putt from Tiger.

With 15 holes in books and just three more to play, Phil holds a one-shot advantage.

Mickelson entered the contest as the underdog, but has proved his worth, matching Tiger shot-for-shot.

It's been an entertaining match thus far, as the two have already wagered nearly $2 million of their own money. The banter between the two players has been seldom as we near the end of the match.

Who will take advantage of the final three holes of competition? Stay tuned.
