New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees set the NFL's all-time touchdown passes record on Monday evening, breaking Peyton Manning's total in a blowout win over the Indianapolis Colts.

Congratulatory messages rolled in for Brees throughout the game, including one from New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady.

Brady had a playful message for his counterpart.

"Congrats drew!! Couldn’t be more deserving. Passing Peyton in anything is an incredible achievement and your records will be tough to beat! But it’s worth trying," he wrote.

Brees set the NFL's all-time passing touchdowns record with his 540th touchdown pass midway through the third quarter of the 34-7 win. He added one more touchdown to get to 541.

Brady isn't far behind, at 538 for his career.

Perhaps we'll get a Brees-Brady Super Bowl matchup this year. Both the Saints and the Patriots are considered to be among the favorites in their respective conferences.
