Urban Meyer is reportedly very close to landing a new job. However, it won't be as a coach on the sidelines; rather a return to a network he once called home.

Per The Athletic, "Urban Meyer is deep in negotiations to return to FOX Sports." Noting, "Meyer spent two years on FOX's 'Big Noon Kickoff' show before taking the head coaching job with the Jaguars."

Meyer's new job prospects caught the eye of football fans across social media. "Always good when a universally despised person who brings nothing to the table lands on their feet," replied Tyler Conway.

"Another year of not watching," commented one fan.

"Why?"

"He should have stayed there," said another fan. "It was a good fit for him."

"'The Giants should have started Alex Cobb instead of Daniel Jones today if they wanted to beat these Flyers,'" quoted Athletic writer Jake Ciely.

"He can't keep getting away with this," replied another user.

"Why would anyone want to employ this guy?" asked James Yarcho.

"Who's asking for this? commented Deuce Mason.

"Imagine paying Urban Meyer to represent your company on the air," tweeted Brad Rowland.

"Must be nice," laughed journalist Marvin L. James II.

"Remember kids, there are no consequences for your actions!"

Never a network to be too concerned with optics, Urban Meyer could find himself back on a FOX set in the very near future.
