Urban Meyer beat Michigan seven straight times as Ohio State’s head coach. The three-time national champion watched from the TV analyst desk on Saturday as the Buckeyes got their eighth win in a row over the Wolverines.
Ryan Day and Co. shellacked Michigan in Ann Arbor. The undefeated Buckeyes moved to 12-0 on the season with a 56-27 win over Jim Harbaugh.
It was quite the cap to Day’s first regular season as the Buckeyes’ head coach.
Following the win, Urban Meyer’s wife, Shelley, posted a heartfelt message for Day and his wife:
“I just want to say how HAPPY I am for Ryan Day and Christina Day and the entire staff, players, support staff-anyone involved in this Buckeye program. I know what this victory means. EVERYTHING,” she tweeted.
I just want to say how HAPPY I am for @ryandaytime and @ninadaytime and the entire staff, players, support staff-anyone involved in this Buckeye program. I know what this victory means. EVERYTHING. #GoBucks! 🙌❤️

Urban was a happy man, too.
Best thing about 12-0…

Ohio State will now head to the Big Ten Championship Game, where they’ll play Wisconsin. A College Football Playoff berth is on the line.
