It wouldn't be a March Madness game in 2022 without a questionable call from the officials, right? In a hotly contested battle of bluebloods, Duke fans were not too happy with the refs when big man Theo John found himself in foul trouble early after some physical play in the post with Armando Bacot.

It was John's fourth foul in the first half.

Fans reacted to the call on Twitter.

"Yes that’s a foul," said an Alabama fan. "He was hugging Bacot."

"Should’ve been a flagrant one if we’re being real for hooking," added another user.

"Bruh he had his arm wrapped around him FOH it’s a foul," tweeted another.

"Offensive foul for sure," replied another fan. Adding, "That’s the second time Bacot throwing elbows and got to the line."

"He was hugging him... of course it was a foul."

"Only does a foul on Duke get so much scrutiny," remarked a Kansas Jayhawks fan. "Of course it’s a foul. Twice."

With 15 minutes left in the second half, UNC leads Duke 47-44.
