A college basketball head coach battling cancer had an incredible reaction to his team’s NCAA Tournament berth on Saturday night.
Old Dominion topped Western Kentucky in the Conference USA Tournament championship game on Saturday evening, locking up an NCAA Tournament berth.
This is the Monarchs’ first NCAA Tournament berth since 2011.
ODU’s head coach, Jeff Jones, is in his sixth year leading the program and it’s his first NCAA Tournament berth at the school.
Jones, who is battling prostate cancer, got pretty emotional when the final buzzer sounded and his team’s NCAA Tournament berth became real.
