There might not be a more-entertaining fastbreak duo in the NBA right now than Lonzo Ball and Zion Williamson.
The New Orleans Pelicans’ young stars have connected on several big plays so far this season. Their alley-oop today might’ve been their best, though.
Ball threw a 3/4-court pass to a soaring Williamson in the first quarter of today’s game against the Minnesota Timberwolves. The No. 1 overall pick in the 2019 NBA Draft caught the ball mid-air and threw it down with ease.
“HAIL MARY TO ZION,” the Pelicans tweeted out. It was quite the play:

Good luck stopping that in the years to come, NBA teams.
New Orleans is leading Minnesota, 33-17, in the first quarter.
Williamson has eight points and two rebounds in seven minutes of play so far.
