A video of a University of Arkansas cheerleader went viral during an NCAA Tournament game this weekend.
No. 2 seed Duke and No. 5 seed Arkansas battled it out with a trip to the Final Four on the line on Saturday night. The Blue Devils took a 45-33 lead into the half and never looked back, storming to a 78-69 victory.
Coach K's 13th trip to the Final Four is certainly making headlines. But it's an Arkansas cheerleader who stole the spotlight on Saturday night.
A member of the Arkansas cheerleading team helped retrieve a ball stuck atop the backboard and received a major applause for her efforts.
Naturally, everyone's talking about the cheerleader from Arkansas:
"They were ready," Yahoo Sports tweeted. "Cheerleaders save the day once again at #MarchMadness, with the assist going to Arkansas this time."
"ARKANSAS CHEERLEADER TO THE RESCUE," Barstool Arkansas wrote.
"Stuck ball??? Another cheerleader to the rescue," Carolina Blitz tweeted.
"Déjà vu: Cheerleaders save the day in the Arkansas / Duke game. The ball got stuck again. Cheerleaders play hero again," Brad Galli said.
"Ok we said you have to add the Indiana cheerleaders to the One Shining Moment montage, so you have to add the Arkansas cheerleaders too," a fan said.
They're going to be talking about the cheerleader from Arkansas for a long time, as deserved.
