Duke men’s basketball coach Mike Krzyzewski is facing some criticism for what he did in the postgame handshake line following the Blue Devils’ loss to North Carolina on Wednesday evening.
Coach K’s team fell to the Tar Heels, 88-72, at Cameron Indoor Stadium on Wednesday night. Duke was without its best player, Zion Williamson, who suffered a knee injury seconds into the game.
Roy Williams appeared to tell Coach K “I hope Zion is OK” in the postgame handshake line, but Duke’s head coach didn’t stick around for very long.
Some are criticizing the Blue Devils’ head coach for blowing past Williams in the handshake line.
“The question sportswriters should have asked Coach K: ‘You blew past Coach Williams in the handshake line. Talk to us about character and sportsmanship,'” one fan tweeted.

Williams, meanwhile, had some kind words for Williamson after the game.
“Be honest, when the big fella goes out of the game, that changes everything. I hated that for him he’s a wonderful kid. It was a huge blow for them,” he told reporters.
Duke and UNC will meet again on March 9.
