On Tuesday night, NBA legend Dirk Nowitzki made his final appearance in front of the Dallas Mavericks faithful.
Nowitzki got off to a fast start in the final home game of his career. The German native scored on the Mavericks first 10 points of the game - scored over four minutes.
Dirk hasn't announced his plans to retire, but everyone in the NBA seems to think this will be his last season in the league.
If so, he's going out on top.
In his final game, Dirk has 19 points at the half, leading all scorers after the first 24 minutes of play.
Earlier in the first half, the Mavericks showed a video of Dirk's work in the community and it caused Dirk himself to break down in tears at mid-court.
Here's the video that made Dirk break down.
Here's Dirk's reaction to seeing himself on the big screen for the last time.
Nowitzki will walk away from the game as the No. 6 scorer in NBA history, just behind Michael Jordan.
Nowitzki isn't the only NBA star being honored tonight. Dwyane Wade is playing the final game of his career in front of the Miami Heat as well.
It's fitting that Dirk and Dwyane Wade make play in their final home games on the same night.
