There have been a lot of bad interceptions thrown by NFL quarterbacks so far this season. None, though, were dumber than the one thrown by Sam Darnold.
The New York Jets’ young quarterback threw a dismal, back-breaking interception inside the red zone against the Miami Dolphins.
Darnold was under pressure from several Dolphins defenders and, for some reason, decided to just throw the ball up.
The Jets’ QB was likely trying to throw the ball away – hopefully, anyway – but he didn’t come close to making that happen.

Interceptions don’t get much worse than that.
It’s been an ugly game all around for New York, too.
The Jets are now losing to the Dolphins, 21-12, at halftime.
