Losses don't get much worse than the one the Tampa Bay Buccaneers suffered against the New York Giants this evening.

The Bucs fell to the Giants, 32-31, thanks to a missed field goal at the buzzer by Tampa Bay kicker Matt Gay.

Tampa Bay trailed New York by one point with less than 30 seconds remaining when Jameis Winston found Mike Evans on a deep pass down the right sideline. The Bucs then ran out some clock and spiked the ball, setting up a game-winning field goal.

Gay missed the kick from 34 yards out.

It was a tough day overall for the Bucs kicker. "Matt Gay missed an extra point, had another extra point blocked and missed a game-winner from an easy distance. Not what you want from a drafted kicker in his third game. Bucs aren't back in this building until Nov. 10. Five games in next six weeks, all away from home," Greg Auman tweeted.

The Giants, meanwhile, got their first win of the season, led by rookie QB Daniel Jones, improving to 1-2.

The Bucs dropped to 1-2.
