We had quite the tennis meltdown at the Italian Open today, resulting in the disqualification of one of the sports’s most-eccentric players.
Nick Kyrgios, the 24-year-old Australian star, is no stranger to outbursts and he had a big one in the second round.
The Aussie hurled a chair onto the court and was disqualified from his match against Norway’s Casper Ruud.

Kyrgios, the No. 36 player in the world, was broken in the third set. He threw a chair onto the court and then kicked a water bottle.
Ruud was leading the match, 6-3 6-7(5) 2-1, at the time of Kyrgios’ disqualification.
