The world’s best golfers were back on the course Friday morning for the Player’s Championship. A crowded field led by Tiger Woods teed off from TPC Sawgrass in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida.
Tommy Fleetwood took a Day 1 lead into Friday morning after he carded a 7-under, 65. Woods, meanwhile, sat five shots off the lead when he took the course for his second round after shooting a 2-under 70.
Early Friday morning, Woods made a strong push to sit among the leaders. After his first seven holes, Tiger carded three birdies and sat at 5-under for the tournament.
That put him just two shots off the lead heading into the tough par-3 No. 17. The short par-3 surrounded by water has given the world’s best fits over the years and it did the same to Tiger.
Woods saw his tee shot drift off the green and into the water.
He took a drop on his next shot and, unfortunately, launched that ball into the water as well.
Check it out.
Golf is hard.

On his seventh stroke, Woods finally managed to find the bottom of the cup – for a quadruple bogey.
After entering the hole just two shots back, Woods finished the hole six shots back of then-leader Tommy Fleetwood.
Tiger bounced back over the next six holes, carding one birdie to get him back to 2-under for the tournament.
