On Thursday night, the Golden State Warriors hosted the Toronto Raptors in Game 6 of the NBA Finals.
The Warriors are playing in front of their home fans at Oracle for the last time, but the play has been less than stellar.
The game has been marred by bad fouls and now an injury to one of the game’s most important players.
Late in the third quarter, Klay Thompson suffered what appeared to be a potentially serious knee injury when he went for a layup, but was fouled hard by Danny Green.
Thompson immediately fell to the floor and looked to be in immense pain.
He came back into the game briefly before exiting. According to an announcement from the team, Thompson will not return for the rest of the game.
It’s a huge blow to the Warriors, especially after losing Kevin Durant to a ruptured Achilles tendon earlier in the series.
Here’s the play where Thompson suffered the injury.

Something just doesn’t look right with Thompson’s knee when he hits the ground.
Regardless of the injury, Thompson returned to the game to hit one-of-two free throws.
However, after his brief return, Thompson’s night is done and the Warriors season might be as well.
