On Friday afternoon, Tiger Woods used an impressive performance against Patrick Cantlay to secure his spot in the Round of 16. Woods was back on the course at the WGC-Dell Technologies Match Play Event in Austin, Texas.

After winning his first round of group play against Aaron Wise, Woods faltered in his match against Brandt Snedeker on Thursday afternoon. He needed a win on Friday afternoon to play the weekend - and that's what he did.

Although he was two-down after the first seven holes, Woods stormed back. He won six-of-eight holes from No. 9 on, winning the match 4 & 2.

With the win, Woods moves on to the Round of 16. His opponent in the Sweet 16 will be Rory McIlroy.

The Round of 16 usually kicks off at 8:30 a.m. ET.

Woods vs. McIlroy will be the draw of the tournament thus far.

Two of the world's best going head-to-head for a chance to make it to the Elite Eight is a golf fan's dream.

McIlroy dominated his group en route to the Round of 16. The Northern Ireland star won all three of his matches in group play to set up the match against Tiger on Saturday morning.
