Sunday night, the 2019 NCAA Tournament field was officially unveiled. Let’s take a look at when your filled-out bracket is due – assuming you want to be part of some kind of March Madness pool.
Almost every pool out there does not ask users to pick between the ‘First Four’ games that are played in Dayton on Tuesday and Wednesday. For reference, those games are:
- No. 16 Fairleigh Dickinson vs. No. 16 Prairie View A&M
- No. 11 Temple vs. No. 11 Belmont
- No. 16 North Carolina Central vs. No. 16 North Dakota State
- No. 11 St. John’s vs. No. 11 Arizona State
The first game of the 64-team tournament will tip off at 12:15 PM ET. It’s No. 10 Minnesota vs. No. 7 Louisville from Wells Fargo Arena in Des Moines, Iowa.
Almost every bracket pool you’ll find online locks picks at around Noon on Thursday. So your bracket picks for 2019 are essentially due at Noon on Thursday, March 21.
Per usual, there are 16 games on Thursday and 16 games on Friday. By Friday night, the tournament will be down to 32 teams. By the end of the weekend, we’ll have our Sweet Sixteen.
This year’s 1-seeds are Duke, Virginia, North Carolina and Gonzaga. The Blue Devils are the clear favorite to cut down the nets.
If you’re looking to compete against the team from The Spun this year, we’re doing our picks over at USA Today.
