The New York Yankees have announced that they’ve agreed to a trade for a speedy outfielder who could become a major pinch-running factor in the postseason.
New York and Kansas City announced today that the Yankees have traded for the ridiculously fast Terrance Gore.
Gore, 28, has been traded to the Yankees for cash considerations.
New York announced the move on Twitter.
“The Yankees have acquired OF Terrance Gore from the Kansas City Royals in exchange for cash considerations. He is not on the Yankees’ 40-man roster, and will report to Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre,” the Yankees announced.

The Yankees, owners of the best record in the American League, could be using Gore a lot on the bases come playoff time.
Gore, one of the fastest players in the league, has 13 stolen bases in 37 games with Kansas City so far this season.
New York is 60-33 and six games up on Tampa Bay in the AL East.
