Zion Williamson is one of the most-hyped players to come into the NBA in a long time and, while it’s just the preseason, he’s living up to it so far.
The New Orleans Pelicans are taking on the Chicago Bulls in a preseason game tonight. The Pelicans are trailing the Bulls by double digits, but nobody cares about that. What they do care about is Zion Williamson and he’s putting on a show.
Williamson currently has 29 points, 4 rebounds and 4 assists in 27 minutes of action. He’s 12 of 13 from the field.
Of course, a lot of Zion’s points have come via the dunk.

The Pelicans, who traded Anthony Davis for Lonzo Ball, Brandon Ingram and Josh Hart this summer, will look to run a lot this season.
They’re doing that tonight:

Williamson has been scoring with ease, but he’s been a playmaker in the open floor, as well.

The former Duke Blue Devils star has certainly made things look easy.
Not impressed with Pelicans through 3 1/2 quarters. Look like a bunch of guys who've never played together (which they are). Hasn't seemed like Zion has done all that much. Yet … 21 points! Can score so easily.

The Western Conference is loaded this season, so making the playoffs will not be an easy task for this young Pelicans squad. If they can play up to their potential, though, New Orleans fans should be in store for a thrilling year.
The Pelicans open the 2019-20 regular season on Tuesday, Oct. 22 against Toronto.
