Zion Williamson made an unfortunate – and hilarious – mistake on Twitter this evening. Of course, the tweet quickly went viral.
The No. 1 overall pick’s old school, Duke, lost in a shocking home upset to Stephen F. Austin. The Blue Devils fell on a buzzer-beating layup at Cameron Indoor Stadium.
It was wild. Social media was instantly taken over by reaction to the game.
Then, this tweet from Williamson appeared:
The tweet was deleted after a couple of minutes. Williamson either had this tweet scheduled or tweeted it out without knowing what had just happened to his former team.
Duke’s shocking 85-83 loss to Stephen F. Austin was the program’s first loss to a non-major team as the No. 1 team in the country. It was the Blue Devils’ first home non-conference loss in almost 20 years.
