Video: Georgetown's Shayla Cooper Threw A Shoe To Try To Block Her Opponent

Good job, good effort.

Update: The player in question is actually freshman guard Shayla Cooper. We have updated the article to reflect such.

Earlier: In basketball, playing defense can be hard. Blocking a shot can be even harder. So what can you do to make yourself a better defender? It's simple: use your shoes as projectiles. Georgetown's Shayla Cooper tested the theory against Richmond on Friday. No, really.

Unfortunately for Cooper, she was unsuccessful trying to block Spiders guard Olivia Healy. She also somehow wasn't called for a technical foul. Luckily for Cooper, the Hoyas would end up winning the game.
