Video: Ohio State Students Break Down Fence Around Mirror Lake, Jump One Day Early In Protest

Of course they did.

Yesterday, we told you that some Ohio State students were attempting (via a group on Facebook) to dodge the school's new regulations on the "Mirror Lake Jump" by moving the event to Monday. Despite OSU erecting a fence around the lake to try and stop the movement, it went down exactly as planned. Students broke down the barrier and jumped into the icy cold lake anyway.

So by trying to place restrictions on the students and control an event that isn't even sanctioned by the school, the administration wound up having to deal with two days of Mirror Lake jumping instead of one. Backfire is the word that comes to mind here.
