The Gamecocks are busting out a little trickeration in today’s Capital One Bowl matchup with Wisconsin. Facing a 1st-and-goal on the Wisconsin 10-yard line, South Carolina QB Connor Shaw handed the ball off to Pharoh Cooper, who took off running left outside of the tackles. Cooper then pitched the ball to teammate Bruce Ellington, who tossed a beautiful ballback to Connor Shaw who had leaked out of the backfield and into the end zone. Seriously, the old perfectly-executed reverse wide receiver pass to the quarterback:
