When five-star safety Jamal Adams committed to the “University of LSU” earlier today, we thought that might be the most amusing announcement of the afternoon. But it turns out, Adams will be joined by another five-star recruit at USLU — the top-ranked running back in the nation, and the No. 1 overall recruit according to ESPN, Leonard Fournette out of New Orleans.
Fournette’s announcement was wonderful for several reasons — he also went with “University of LSU”, he dropped a “taking my talents to” Lebron-like reference, and mentioned that he plans on staying at the school for “three or four” years — clearly the NFL is already on his mind:
Fournette also talked about how he’s glad that the recruiting process is over with, because he hated receiving so many messages all of the time:
Seriously though, what a recruiting day for (U)LSU — Les Miles has to be smiling ear to ear right now.
