Most pitchers in college softball, after giving up a huge three-run home run in the late innings of a close game, wouldn't be thinking about the welfare of their opponent. But Chelsea Oglevie, of Florida Southern, showed an incredible display of sportsmanship this past week.
In the below video, Eckerd College's Kara Oberer has just hit a three-run bomb, but she can't make it around the bases after her knee locks up. Since it's technically against the rules for anyone on her team to help her around the bases, Oglevie and her second baseman, Leah Pemberton, literally carried her the entire way.
Props to all involved here - it's refreshing to see that even in such a close game, humanity can prevail.
