Video: Watch Patriots' Star Tight End Rob Gronkowski Shave His Brother's Head

Rob Gronkowski isn't the most GQ of NFL players, but the New England Patriots' star tight end does sport multiple hair styles ever year.

This, though, is because of charity, not style.

Each summer, Gronk shaves his head as part of the Patriots' Kid’s Cancer Buzz-Off at Gillette Stadium.

The event is put on by One Mission, which the Patriots describe as "a Massachusetts-based pediatric cancer foundation that sponsors various programs and services focused on lifting the spirits of children and adolescents who have been diagnosed with the disease." This year's event took place on Sunday.

Gronk now has a shaved head for the summer.

Rob wasn't the only Gronkowski to part with his locks for charity. His younger brother, Gordie, was part of the charity event. Of course, Rob was the one who did the shaving.

Gronkowski spoke to patriots.com about what the event means to him.

"It’s an honor to be here," he said. "Every single year I put it in my calendar to make sure I’m here at this event...I definitely feel like there’s a correlation with the kids looking up to me, and then coming here and buzzing my hair off. We all feel like we have something in common at the moment."

"It’s heart-warming to see all these kids," Gronkowski added. "It definitely means a lot and it puts things into perspective, but it’s also a great feeling seeing everyone put smiles on their face. That's just what we’re all trying to do here today."

This year's event raised $1 million for childhood cancer support.

Gronkowski has been involved in the One Mission Buzz-Off for the past six years.

Well done, Gronk.
