What Seed Did George Washington Get In The 2014 NCAA Tournament?

Seed: For the upcoming 2014 NCAA Tournament, the George Washington Colonials were given a 9-seed in the East-region. They are coached by Mike Lonergan and hail from the Atlantic 10 conference.

You can view the entire 2014 NCAA Tournament field here in our official bracket.

Where: They will open play against Memphis in Raleigh on Friday.

Why: GW finished Atlantic 10 play with an 11-5 record, tied with Saint Joseph's for third in the conference. The Colonials posted notable victories over Creighton, Maryland, Georgia and VCU.

Ceiling: The Colonials are one of the few teams in the NCAA to have five players - Maurice Creek, Kethan Savage, Patricio Garino, Isaiah Armwood and Kevin Larsen - average over 10 points per game. Their balanced attack is going to make them a tough out. Don't be surprised if they're still around by the second weekend.
