What Seed Did North Carolina Central Get In The 2014 NCAA Tournament?

Seed: For the upcoming 2014 NCAA Tournament, the North Carolina Central Eagles were given a 14-seed in the East-region. They are coached by LeVelle Moton and hail from MEAC.

You can view the entire 2014 NCAA Tournament field here in our official bracket.

Where: They will open play against Iowa State in San Antonio on Friday.

Why: NC Central posted a 15-1 record in the MEAC, winning the conference regular season title. The Eagles also won the league's postseason tournament, thereby earning its auto-bid.

Ceiling: Simply put, the Eagles are dangerous. They lost just five games all year - two of which were to NCAA teams (Cincinnati and Wichita State). They've won 20 games in a row, so they're one of the hottest teams in the country. This is kind of team that can easily notch a few upsets and find itself playing in the second weekend. Senior guard Jeremy Ingram scores over 20 points per game, so he'll be the key for the Eagles.
