When Are The 2014 March Madness Brackets Announced?

March Madness is right around the corner! After this week's conference tournaments wrap up, the NCAA Selection Committee will put together the official bracket, and the 2014 NCAA Tournament will be underway. Entering conference tournament play, Florida and undefeated Wichita State seem to be locks for No. 1 seeds, while Arizona has a strong case for the third. A large group of schools, including Syracuse, Michigan, Louisville, Duke, Virginia, Kansas, Wisconsin, and Villanova, is in contention for the final No. 1 seed. Numerous other schools like Florida State, St. John's, Georgetown, Nebraska, Tennessee, and BYU are still looking for a big win or two to put themselves squarely in the NCAA Tournament field. Here are important dates to remember for this year's tournament:

Selection Sunday:

March 16, 2014 - 6 pm on CBS

Opening Round Play-in Games:

March 18-19, 2014 - Dayton, OH

Second and Third Rounds:

March 20-23, 2014 - Buffalo, Milwaukee, Orlando, Spokane, Raleigh, San Antonio, San Diego, St. Louis

Sweet 16/Elite Eight (Regionals):

March 27-30 - Memphis (South), Anaheim (West), New York (East), Indianapolis (Midwest)

Final Four (Dallas):

Semifinal: Saturday, April 5, 2014 

Final: Monday, April 7, 2014
