Last week wrestling fans around the world got a massive scare when "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair was sent to the hospital. Following his release this past week, "Naitch" has released a statement updating everyone on his status.

Taking to Twitter on Thursday, Flair revealed that he is on the mend and getting better. He credited his wife Wendy with helping him to recover.

On The Mend, Getting Better Every Day!!! Thank God For Wonderous Wendy Never Leaving My Side. I Hope She Never Gets Tired Of Taking Care Of The Naitch! It’s A Lot!

Flair was hospitalized this past weekend and underwent an unspecified procedure. He has suffered from various health problems over the past few years.

He has not competed in the ring in over five years, but has made several cameos at recent WWE events, including Wrestlemania 35 this past April.

Naitch is a 16-time world champion, a Triple Crown Champion in WWE, a member of the WWE Hall of Fame, and was awarded a life-size bronze statue in 2017.

Unfortunately, years of hard-partying and alcohol abuse have taken their toll on Flair throughout the years. He suffers from an alcohol-related heart condition, and underwent bowel surgery in 2017 that led to further health complications.

On top of his recent health scare, one can only hope that Flair is able to make a complete recovery.

Get well soon Naitch!
